I provide individual therapy for adults and older adolescents navigating concerns such as anxiety, burn-out, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, life transitions, and work or caregiver stress.
Every person comes to therapy with a different history, set of strengths, and goals. We’ll work together to determine what approach makes the most sense for you.
-
Therapy with me is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in creating a space where you can feel supported while also working toward meaningful change.
Depending on your needs, sessions may include exploring patterns and experiences, building practical coping skills, developing greater insight and self-understanding, processing difficult experiences, and identifying ways to move toward the life you want.
There isn't one “right” way to do therapy, and we can adjust our approach as your needs and goals evolve.

I am able to accept select insurance plans through Headway. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary depending on your specific insurance plan.
Before beginning services, you will have an opportunity to review your estimated benefits and financial responsibility through Headway. Because insurance benefit information is an estimate, you are ultimately responsible for any portion of services that is not covered by your plan.

Winding Path Counseling & Wellness is currently a fully virtual practice. Sessions are held through a secure telehealth platform, allowing you to attend therapy from a private, comfortable space that works for you.
Because I am licensed in Georgia, you must be physically located within the state of Georgia at the time of your session.
-
Virtual therapy allows you to attend sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Before your appointment, you'll receive access to a secure video link through SimplePractice. At your scheduled time, simply click the link from your computer, tablet, or phone to join your session—no special software is required.
To help you get the most out of your session, I recommend finding a private, comfortable space with a reliable internet connection where you can speak freely and minimize distractions.
Because I am licensed in Georgia, you will need to be physically located within the state of Georgia at the time of each session. For safety and privacy, sessions should also take place while you are stationary and not driving or operating a vehicle.
We'll take care of the rest together—virtual therapy can still provide the same intentional, collaborative space for connection, reflection, and meaningful therapeutic work.

My work is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered. I integrate evidence-based approaches and strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), when appropriate.
Rather than using the same approach with everyone, I tailor treatment to your individual needs, preferences, and goals.
-
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a structured therapy approach designed to help people process distressing experiences and memories that may continue to affect how they feel, think, or respond in the present.
EMDR involves several phases, including preparation and stabilization before active memory processing begins. If EMDR may be a good fit for you, we can discuss the process together and determine when—or whether—it feels appropriate to incorporate into your treatment.

I understand that unexpected things happen. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a late cancellation fee, and missed appointments may be charged the full session fee. Cancellation and no-show fees are not billable to insurance. Additional details are provided in the practice policies you will review before beginning therapy..

The first session gives us an opportunity to begin getting to know one another and develop a clearer understanding of what brings you to therapy.
We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, supports, and what you would like to gain from therapy. You don't have to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on or how to explain everything—we can figure that out together.
The first few sessions may also involve continued assessment and collaborative treatment planning.
-
Finding the right therapist matters. A good therapeutic relationship should provide room for you to feel heard, respected, and able to be honest about what is—and isn't—working for you.
A consultation can be a helpful first step. It gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what you're looking for, answer initial questions, and determine whether my services seem aligned with your needs.
If I believe another provider or type of service would better meet your needs, I will be transparent about that and, when possible, help point you toward appropriate resources.
-
Standard individual therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes.
How frequently we meet will depend on your needs, goals, availability, and, when applicable, insurance coverage. Many clients begin with weekly sessions, and frequency may change over time as treatment progresses.
-
You can begin by submitting an inquiry through the contact page to request a consultation.
We'll briefly discuss what you're looking for, answer any initial questions, and determine whether moving forward together makes sense. If we decide to proceed, you'll receive information about completing your intake paperwork and scheduling your first appointment.
You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Starting with a conversation is enough.
